Online Psychology Services are a convenient way for you to access psychological therapy from the privacy of your home without needing to travel to appointments.

Shine Psychology can now offer Medicare Funded Telehealth Appointments to all Australians until the 30th of September 2020. Due to COVID-19 the Federal Government has announced a $1.1billion package to boost Medicare, mental health and domestic violence services across Australia during the Coronavirus outbreak. 

From Monday 30 March to 30 September all Australians eligible to receive services under Medicare will be able to access bulk-billed psychological services delivered via Telehealth (videoconference or phone) if clinically appropriate.

This service enables you to receive assistance from a Registered Clinical Psychologist from the comfort of your home or office. You can chose a Telehealth Videoconference consultation or a Telephone consultation from the comfort of your home. 

 

Remote Areas

Shine Psychology now offers online consulting services via secure remote meeting software, to people in rural and remote areas of Australia. To find out what MMM region you’re in, visit the federal government’s DocotorConnect website here.

 

Online consulting via secure remote meeting software can be arranged via video or phone. All our therapists are professionally registered Psychologists with AHPRA and the Australia Board of Psychology.

 

New Medicare Items to support people affected by BUSHFIRES

 

People affected by the 2019/2020 bushfires can now access mental health treatment without a referral or mental health treatment plan from 17 January 2020.

 

People who are eligible may be:

 

  • Individuals or families who have been impacted by the 2019-20 bushfires.

 

  • Responders or emergency managment employees or volunteers who worked during the 

 

 2019-20 bushfires.

You will need a computer or a tablet/ipad with camera and audio capacity. Internet connection is also essential for video connections.

 

If you don’t have a computer or Internet connection, or simply do not want a video session, a phone consultation can also be arranged with one of our psychologists. It is also important that you have a private space for the duration of your 50 minute consultation.
