Kim Moulton

Director – Clinical and Counselling Psychologist

Kim Moulton is a registered psychologist living on the Mornington Peninsula. She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and has memberships with the Clinical and Counselling Colleges (APS).

Kim is experienced in helping children, adolescents and adults deal with a range of emotional issues, including dealing with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, school issues, bipolar disorders and post traumatic stress disorders.

Education
Kim has a Bachelor of Behavioural Science from LaTrobe University, a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Science (Adolescent Mental Health) from the University of Melbourne, a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology from Monash University and a Masters in Psychology (Counselling) from Monash University. She is a professional member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).

Her extensive training and experience in various therapies and techniques, including: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal therapy, Play therapy (children), Mindfulness, Critical Incident Stress Debriefing, Psychological Testing and Assessments – enables Kim to use an Integrative approach – which is regarded by experts to be the latest and most effective approach to Psychology.

Kim has worked with a range of primary and secondary schools in the Bayside area and the Mornington Peninsula as well as in community health centres. Her professional services include child therapy, adolescent mental health, adult psychology.

 

Dr. Hannah Woolhouse

Registered psychologist

Dr Hannah Woolhouse is a registered psychologist and experienced group facilitator with a particular interest in women and children’s mental health and well-being. Hannah is an Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society and has published many peer-reviewed articles and presented at international conferences on Women’s mental health.

Tara Couzens

Registered Psychologist

Tara has worked in a range of public and private counselling settings, providing support to adolescent and adult clients and also couples. Tara also has extensive experience working with adolescent clients within mainstream and alternative educational settings.

Martin is a registered psychologist with extensive experience in Pain Management, Men’s Mental Health, Trauma and Workplace stress.

Therapies/Treatments:
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT).

Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR). Particularly useful in addressing trauma. Can be effective for clients with anxiety, depressions, phobias.

Ericksonian Hypnosis. This incorporates elements of Relaxation (filling one’s mind with helpful, happy thoughts and images) and Mindfulness(emptying one’s mind and learning to be in the moment and unclutter the mind from busy and incessant self-talk). The person remains in control all the time.

Neuroscience/Psycho-education. Useful in explaining to clients how their brain works and how it can be managed and changed to achieve more helpful outcomes.
